Student News

Students who are the first in their family to attend college are invited to a special reception to recognize Thiel College’s First-Generation College Students.

Thiel using new service to distribute student news and updates

Thiel College’s new service partner is Merit Pages.

Merit is a combination social media channel and professional accomplishment aggregator. It is both passive and active. The service accumulates and distributes student news and achievements. It will send updates to local government representatives, high school guidance counselors, hometown newspapers and student-identified family members. Students can curate and take ownership of these Merit profiles and fill them out with personal information. A student’s Thiel email is used to verify their account.

Students are encouraged to add photos and augment their own their profiles.

If a student asks about the service, it is legitimate and College endorsed.

For more information, contact Dominick DiRienzo at ext. 2188.

Communications collateral

Employees should update the logos used on institutional materials, including email signatures, letterhead, PowerPoint slides, etc.

Thiel College has used the shield and wordmark combination as the official institutional logo for more than a year. They are the only approved logo for academic co-curricular and institutional use. Additional athletic logo packages are also available.

Email signatures, brand resources, and a job request form are all available online. A Dropbox folder has been set up with instructions and the materials necessary to create new email signatures. Employees can find other Thiel College-branded resources including letterhead, logos and PowerPoint slides in the same folder.

Thiel College community members who need help with communications and marketing initiatives and collateral can now request those services with a job form. The request form is available on the communications and marketing webpage or linked directly below.

For more information, email the office.
