The latest edition of The Bell is out.

The Fall 2015 edition of The Bell is full of great photos from many campus events, including move-in day and orientation, Homecoming and Academic Honors Convocation. Read about the accomplishments and goals of the Thiel 2016 Campaign, the largest fundraising campaign in the College's 149-year history. Other highlights include a letter from Campaign Cabinet and Board of Trustees Chair Barry Stamm, M.D. '70; a Board of Trustees profile of John Frangakis, M.B.A.; and a new faculty profile on Assistant Professor of Psychology Kristel Gallagher, Ph.D., as well as news and updates from around campus.
Break out your ugliest holiday sweater and come to the Employee Christmas Luncheon at noon Dec. 10 in the Lutheran Heritage Room. As part of the festivities, there will be an ugly holiday sweater contest.

Thiel College Campus Ministry received a $6,000 grant from the Northwestern Pennsylvania Synod Evangelical Lutheran Church in America as part of the Hegele Grant program for a spring break service trip to the nation's capital.
The grant pays for up to 10 students and two sponsors to travel to Washington D.C. from March 5-12.
Students will stay at the Steinbruck Center for Urban Studies at Luther Place Church. The students making the trip can attend a worship service at Luther Place Church, serve morning meals at a nearby Lutheran food kitchen, work at the night shelter for women at Luther Place, and learn about the N Street Village ministry sponsored by the congregation.

The Gamma Sigma Chapter of Chi Alpha Epsilon national honor society held its fall induction ceremony Nov. 9. Baker and Shorts were inducted. During this ceremony, jewel pin upgrades were awarded to Bolyard, Kenady Hubbard (not in attendance) and Slevin, who earned a spring semester GPA of 3.5 or higher. Honorary member and former Thiel College adjunct Professor of Sociology Donna Barton also participated in the ceremony. Diane Donnelly, M.A., Director of The Learning Commons, is adviser for Chi Alpha Epsilon.

'Gold, God, and Glory' Art Opening

Kyle Marini '18 will display a series of paintings and ceramics that criticize the effects of the Spanish conquest of Latin America. His show "God, Gold, and Glory" will be on display from Dec. 12 to March 12, 2016.
