Thiel College Office of Communications and Marketing wins awards for several campaigns

GREENVILLE, Pa.—The Thiel College Office of Communications and Marketing has been honored with awards from three separate national organizations in recognition of campaigns and collateral produced during the previous academic year.

In 2023, Thiel College received three gold medals and two silver medals from the Collegiate Advertising Awards, Educational Advertising Awards, and the College and University Public Relations and Associated Professionals.

Thiel College was awarded a gold medal for its digital Academic Catalog by the Educational Advertising Awards. This innovative project transformed a traditionally print-focused publication into a fully interactive digital-first edition, which can also be printed on-demand.

Winners were recently announced in the 38th Annual Educational Advertising Awards, the largest educational advertising competition in the nation. This year, the competition received over 2,000 entries from more than one thousand colleges, universities, and secondary schools representing all fifty states and numerous foreign countries.

The panel of judges for the Educational Advertising Awards consisted of national experts in higher education marketing, advertising creative directors, and marketing and advertising professionals.

Thiel College’s alumni magazine, The Bell, received recognition with a silver award for its Fall/Winter 2022 edition, while the Paws Across America fundraising campaign was honored with a gold award from the Educational Advertising Awards.

Additionally, the College and University Public Relations and Associated Professionals presented Thiel College with a silver medal for its admissions viewbook titled "Where Your Journey Begins." The competition featured 501 entries from various colleges, universities, agencies, and providers of private, specialized, and secondary education. The judging panel included professionals in the communications field, encompassing designers, writers, educators, corporate executives, and media experts.

The “Join the Journey” capital campaign collateral earned a gold medal from the Collegiate Advertising Awards. This recognition program celebrates excellence in marketing and advertising within the higher education sector and provides institutions the opportunity to compete against similarly sized colleges, universities, and educational organizations nationwide. Categories range from branding, social media, recruiting, and fundraising to multimedia campaigns, educational fairs, blogs, and more.

All submissions were evaluated by a panel of design and education marketing professionals, with judging based on criteria such as creativity, layout/design, typography, production quality, and overall effectiveness. Top-scoring entries were awarded gold, silver, and bronze certificates.
