Thiel College education majors finishing degrees with student-teaching placements

GREENVILLE, Pa.—Eighteen members of the Thiel College Class of 2023 are finishing their degrees with student-teaching assignments at six Mercer County school districts.

- Tofani, of Transfer, Pa., is teaching third grade and kindergarten learning support at Artman Elementary School.
- Welch, of Sharpsville, Pa., is teaching kindergarten-third-grade learning support at Farrell Area Elementary School, and kindergarten at Artman Elementary School.
- Mellot, of Transfer, Pa., is teaching seventh-, 11th-, and 12th-grade history at Greenville Junior/Senior High School.
- Hearn, of Conneaut Lake, Pa., is teaching at Sharpsville Area elementary, middle, and high schools.
- Mudry, of Pittsburgh, Pa., is teaching 10th- and 11th-grade English at Sharpsville Area High School.
- Cox, of Atlantic, Pa., is teaching third grade and fifth-grade learning support at Greenville Elementary School.
- Merlino, of Oakdale, Pa., is teaching first grade at Greenville Elementary School and seventh through 12th grade at Greenville Junior/Senior High School.
- Taylor, of Pittsburgh, Pa., is teaching second grade and third-grade learning support at Greenville Elementary School.
- Shellenberger, of Northumberland, Pa., is teaching fourth-grade learning support at Ionta Elementary School and second grade at Artman Elementary School.
- Wakley, of North East, Pa., is teaching first grade at Greenville Elementary School and seventh through 12th-grade life skills at Greenville Junior/Senior High School.
- Hawthorne, of Greenville, Pa., is teaching ninth through 12th-grade math at Sharpsville Elementary School.
- Gray, of Pittsburgh, Pa., is teaching seventh through 12th-grade math at Greenville Junior/Senior High School.
- Toy, of Greenville, Pa., is teaching seventh and eighth grade at Farrell Area High School.
- Langietti, Greenville, Pa., is teaching kindergarten at Artman Elementary School.
- Diggans, of Pittsburgh, Pa., is teaching first grade and kindergarten through fourth-grade learning support at Jamestown Area Elementary School.
- Forrest, of Cranberry, Pa., is teaching math at Hickory School.
- Jaszemski, of Volant, Pa., is teaching second grade and third-grade learning support at Greenville Elementary School.
