GREENVILLE, Pa.—Four Thiel College students have been nominated for Intercollegiate Broadcasting System awards that will be handed out during the 83rd annual conference in New York City at the Sheraton Times Square from March 1-2.
All together Thiel College earned five nominations. Jason Jewett ’25 was nominated for Best Documentary, Best Station ID, Best Underwriting Spot. Jewett and Kinsey Lowers ’24 were nominated together for Best Show Promo. Christina Newman ’25 and Jacob Reeher ’26 were nominated for Best Radio Drama.

It is the seventh time in the past eight years that Thiel College’s radio station, WXTC, has been nominated for Golden Mic Awards.
The awards will be presented at the IBS College Media Awards on Saturday, March 2.
Intercollegiate Broadcasting System is an 82-year old all volunteer organization that supports the students, faculty and staff of college and high school media outlets. It's annual conference draws hundreds of attendees from educational institutions around the country.
