Cultural experiences and events focus of Thiel College’s International Education Week

GREENVILLE, Pa.—Thiel College celebrates its fourth annual International Education Week, starting Sunday with an international food fair. Events and activities continue throughout the week.

International Education Week (IEW) event highlights include:

These activities give campus and community members insights into the multicultural world that exists at the College, Assistant Dean of Student Life and Director of International Student Affairs Shannon Reesh, M.S.Ed., said.

“This special week provides the campus and local communities the opportunity to celebrate the benefits of international education and cultural exchange,” Reesh said. “This is a week for bringing people together and letting our international students share a piece of their culture so that we all gain a better understanding and appreciation for diversity.”

Sponsored by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs and the U.S. Department of Education, IEW began in 2000. The United States and more than 100 countries observe IEW.

International Education Week at Thiel College runs from Nov. 15-20. Events are planned for each day of the week. For a complete list of events, visit the website calendar.
