How Dual-Degree Works

Apply to Thiel College and choose your major—most Pre-Med students pursue the biology major.
Meet regularly with your advisor to plan required courses in biology, chemistry, math, and general education.
Complete LECOM eligibility requirements, including GPA benchmarks and an interview.
Transition seamlessly to LECOM, where you’ll finish your medical, pharmacy, dental, podiatry, or physical therapy degree.

LECOM Pathways Available Through Thiel College

Students can pursue either Early Acceptance Program (EAP) or traditional admission tracks in the following areas:

Medical Specialties (LECOM)

Dentistry, D.M.D. — 4+4 track
Osteopathic Medicine, D.O. — 2+4, 3+4, or 4+4 tracks
Pharmacy, Pharm.D. — 3+4 or 4+4 tracks
Podiatric Medicine, D.P.M. — 2+4, 3+4, or 4+4 tracks

LECOM Early Acceptance Program (EAP)

The LECOM Early Acceptance Program gives high-achieving high school seniors and current Thiel students the opportunity to reserve a seat in one of LECOM’s professional programs early in their academic journey.

Key Features of the EAP:

Apply as a high school senior or as a current Thiel student
Early Acceptance. Secure a seat in medical, dental, or pharmacy school as early as senior year of high school or within your first two years at Thiel. Save thousands of dollars and hours of time stressing over applications and interviews.
MCAT-optional pathways available. Eligible students can matriculate directly to LECOM without taking the MCAT. Save thousands of dollars and months of test preparation.
