Sophomore catcher Britain Callen lifted the Tomcats to a 7-5 game one victory after blasting a seventh inning walk off three-run homerun. Freshman Melissa Rankin finished 5-for-6 on the day with a pair of doubles, three RBI and three runs scored. The Tomcats earned a 5-2 win in game one and followed that up with a 2-1 victory in game two. Freshman pitcher Emily Batiz allowed just four hits in seven innings to lead the Tomcats to a 2-1 victory. more Softball - March 4 DWYER HITS TWO HOMERUNS WHILE SOFTBALL PICKS OF A PAIR OF WINS The Thiel College Softball team picked up a pair of wins on Tuesday. In the first game freshman Danielle Dwyer led the Tomcats with two homeruns in a 8-2 victory against Malone College while freshman Emily Batiz struck out five in a 4-3 win over Susquehanna University. more Softball - Mar. 3 SOFTBALL DROPS TWO IN DOUBLEHEADER AGAINST ALVERNIA The Thiel College Softball team was swept in there double header against Alvernia College on Monday. The Tomcats were shut out in game one 3-0 and were beat 9-3 in game two. more Softball - Mar. 2 SOFTBALL TEAM SPLITS FIRST TWO GAMES IN FLORIDA The Thiel College softball team posted a split in its first action of the season last night in Orlando. The Tomcats earned a win in its first game of the season by beating Cedar Crest 7-1 while dropping the second game against Rochester 6-5. more Softball - Feb. 22 2008 SOFTBALL SEASON PREVIEW It’s the dawning of a new season in Greenville for the 2008 Thiel College softball team and it is looking to improve upon the strides they made a season ago.  The Tomcats secured their first Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC) victory since the 2005 season and won triple the amount of games from the previous year, but there is still plenty of room for improvement. more
