SIX TOMCATS NAMED TO NFF HAMPSHIRE HONOR SOCIETY
Six members of the Tomcat football program were named to the The National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame (NFF) 2008 NFF Hampshire Honor Society Wednesday afternoon. The Hampshire Honor Society is comprised of college football players from all divisions of play who each maintained a 3.2 GPA or better. more

TOMCATS TO SPONSOR SEVENTH ANNUAL YOUTH FOOTBALL CAMP

On Saturday, April 26 the Tomcat football team will host its seventh annual free youth football camp for all kids in grades four through six. The day will include instruction on basic fundamentals from players and a punt, pass and kick contest. All in attendance will receive a camp T-shirt and the winners of the contest will receive certificates. The camp will conclude with players discussing the dangers of drugs and alcohol, as well as the importance of doing well in school. Each child will receive lunch as well as a free pass for admittance to a Thiel home football game. more

STIMAC AND LORBER NAMED ACADEMIC ALL-AMERICANS
Senior defensive end Chris Lorber and senior linebacker Michael Stimac were selected as first-team members of the 2007 ESPN The Magazine All-America Football Team, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). This is the first time in history that Thiel had two student-athletes from the same team recognized as Academic All-American selections. more

HESS CARRIES TOMCATS TO 62-14 VICTORY AT SAINT VINCENT
Junior running back Dan Hess saved his best effort for last this season, posting 327 yards and five touchdowns on 43 carries in the Tomcats' 62-14 win over Saint Vincent College Saturday afternoon at Chuck Noll Field in Latrobe. The Tomcats rolled up 709 yards of total offense on 85 plays against the Bearcats, fifth-most in Division III this season. The squad also combined for 514 rushing yards on 67 attempts, seventh-most among Division III counterparts this season. more

Selected as the best and the brightest from the college gridiron, The National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame (NFF) today announced the 153 semifinalists for the 2007 Draddy Trophy, presented by HealthSouth, and the candidates for the NFF 2007 National Scholar-Athlete Awards. Senior linebacker Michael Stimac has been named a semifinalist for the prestigious award, just one of 24 semifinalists from NCAA Division III football-playing institutions. more
