Cytotechnology

28 credit hours in biology and chemistry are required. These include:

• BIO 145 Fundmentals of Biology
• BIO 212 Microbiology
• BIO 322 Genetics
• BIO 412 Cell Biology
• CHEM 140 General Chemistry I
• CHEM 160 General Chemistry II
• CHEM 200 Organic Chemistry I
• CHEM 210 Organic Chemistry II
• MATH 111 Elementary Statistics

Recommended but not required courses include:

• BIO 113 Human Anatomy
• BIO 114 Human Physiology
• BIO 332 Immunology and Parasitology
• PHYS 153 Introductory Physics

Successful completion of the Integrative Requirement of Thiel College Successful completion of 92 credit hours of course work at Thiel (including courses listed above) prior to the clinical year.

Note: Procurement of a clinical placement for the senior year is not guaranteed. Students who lack a competitive GPA and students who decide not to pursue the clinical placement have the option of completing the degree requirements for a BA in Biology during their senior year.
