Awards:

Departmental Honors Award – Presented to the outstanding Business Administration or Accounting major.

P.I.C.P.A. (Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants) Award – Awarded to the outstanding Accounting major.

Wall Street Journal Award – Given to a distinguished Business Administration major.

Each award is presented to a student who possesses high academic achievements, exemplifies model characteristics and performs above the required expectations.

Chi Eta Sigma Commerce Honorary:

The Business Administration & Accounting Department has an honorary commerce society into which students can be inducted. Students can be inducted into Chi Eta Sigma based on their academic achievements, positive interactions with students and faculty and model characteristics. The grade point average requirement for induction is as follows: overall G.P.A of 3.0 and Major G.P.A. of 3.40. Induction can take place during a student’s junior or senior year. Inductees graduate with departmental honors and receive departmental cords to wear during commencement. Professor Ligo is the advisor.

Business Honors Seminar:

Any junior or senior with a major in the Business Administration and Accounting Department may join this seminar class (BADM 574). Research and class work prepare students for bi-weekly discussions with senior executives. The seminar format is an integrating process which also helps students form a personal style of management, eclectically based on input from successful business professionals. This input is provided by corporate presidents in personal, informal visits to the seminar. Professor Miller is the advisor.

Scholarships
:
