History at Thiel:
I've been at Thiel for 32 years an teach a variety of courses in the department. These include animal and human physiology, comparative chordate and human anatomy, medical terminology, Biology of aging, cell biology and developmental biology. I have also taught in the honors program and in the Sciences and Our Global Heritage, the sophomore course of Thiel's integrative requirement. I am interested in regulation at the organ and organism levels and the effects of nutritional adjustment on regulation. I am also interested in using the Zebrafish as an experimentaal model for developmental studies.
Family
My wife Pamela (Pam), who is the college nurse, and I live in Jamestown,
Pa. with a wonderful view of Pymatuning Lake. We have two children,
a daughter, Tacia, who is a DVM (Ohio State Uiversity) and a Captain in the U.S. Army, Veterinary Corp, stationed in Norfork, Va, and a son, John, a graduate
of IUP in Hotel Restaurat, Institutional Management, who is living and workingin the Meadville area. We both love
cats. We have one house cat, Alex, who humors us by permitting us
to play with him and live at the same address as well as four outdoor cats.
