Tri-Beta is a national biology honorary society, founded in 1922, with the aims of promoting interest in and disseminating information about the biological sciences. To achieve these goals, Thiel's Kappa Chapter has engaged in a variety of activities in recent years. Earth Day Workshops for Elementary School Students. For the past five years, Tri-Beta has hosted 400-700 area elementary school children for a one-day series of hands-on workshops on various themes related to the health and beauty of the earth.
Tri-Beta students also present independent research at regional and national meetings. To be eligible for membership, students must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 in 3 or more Biology classes as well as a 3.0 GPA overall. Current Membership:
