EngineeringIf you are curious about how things work, like to build things and enjoy math, technology, and science, a career in engineering may be the right thing for you.  The programs we have available combine a solid foundation in math, science and humanities with advanced technical studies in an engineering discipline. Besides having technical competency, engineers must have the ability to be sensitive to values, individual worth, human needs and the overall well-being of the earth.

Binary engineering programs are generally called 3-2 programs. These programs typically involve three years at Thiel College, during which students learn the basics of the natural sciences, advanced math, and humanities. This is followed by two more years at an engineering school for advanced studies in an engineering specialty

Thiel College has two options for students interested in pursuing a career in engineering.

Option One:  A traditional binary 3-2 engineering program with Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio leading to a degree from Thiel and an engineering degree from Case Western Reserve University.

Option Two:  A traditional binary 3-2 engineering program with the University of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, Pa. leading to a degree from Thiel and an engineering degree from the University of Pittsburgh

At present, 11 Binary Engineering majors are pursuing their studies at Thiel College.
