Faculty and staff are encouraged to explore BoodleBox, Thiel College’s generative AI platform, and the resources available to help the campus community make effective use of AI tools.
Getting Started with BoodleBox
Support Center: Access troubleshooting guides and technical assistance at any time via boodlebox.ai/support.
Key Resources for Faculty
Key Resources for Staff
BoodleBox provides access to multiple AI models and tools that can assist with tasks such as brainstorming, research, drafting, summarizing information, developing ideas and creating specialized bots. Resources are available to help employees understand the different AI models, determine which tools are best suited to particular tasks and learn effective ways to incorporate AI into their work.
BoodleBox can be accessed at box.boodle.ai or through the Thiel Tunnel under “More Quick Links.” Getting-started materials, videos, model guides and technical support are also available through BoodleBox.

As Thiel College celebrates its 160th year, the campus community is invited to explore “Thiel in Time,” an interactive timeline highlighting moments from the College’s history since its founding in 1866.
The timeline complements the “Thiel in Time” theme for Homecoming 2026, set for Sept. 24–27, and offers a look back at the people, events and milestones that have shaped Thiel during the past 160 years.
Employees are encouraged to help build the timeline by adding their own Thiel experiences, memories and significant events. Contributions will help tell a broader story of the College and the people who have been part of its history.
The Thiel College community will welcome the Class of 2030 during Opening Convocation at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 27 in the William Passavant Memorial Center.
Returning students are encouraged to line Brother Martin’s Walk at 11:15 a.m. to cheer on the incoming class as they process to the ceremony. Faculty should gather at Greenville Hall at 11 a.m. to robe and join the processional. All other employees are invited to attend the ceremony in the Passavant Center.
Thiel College employees recently received an email from Director of the Thiel Fund David Mogle outlining the impact of the Thiel Fund and opportunities for employee participation.
The Thiel Fund provides unrestricted support for areas not fully covered by tuition, including academic programs, student scholarships, athletics, campus facilities and other student experiences. During fiscal year 2026, more than 2,000 gifts generated $876,000 for the fund.
Employee participation also plays an important role in demonstrating institutional support when the College pursues grants and major gifts. Participation, rather than the size of an individual gift, is especially important.
Employees can participate through payroll deduction, with contributions beginning at $1 per pay, or make individual gifts by credit card, check, cash or Venmo. Employees should refer to Mogle’s recent email for giving instructions and additional information. Questions about the Thiel Fund or existing payroll deductions can be directed to Mogle, whose office is on the second floor of Roth Hall.

First-year residential students arrived on Saturday and moved in. New commuter students were also on campus on Saturday as the campus community prepared for Monday’s start of classes.

Communications collateral
Employees should update the logos used on institutional materials, including email signatures, letterhead, PowerPoint slides, etc.
Thiel College has used the shield and wordmark combination as the official institutional logo for more than a year. They are the only approved logo for academic co-curricular and institutional use. Additional athletic logo packages are also available.
Email signatures, brand resources, and a job request form are all available online. A Dropbox folder has been set up with instructions and the materials necessary to create new email signatures. Employees can find other Thiel College-branded resources including letterhead, logos and PowerPoint slides in the same folder.
Thiel College community members who need help with communications and marketing initiatives and collateral can now request those services with a job form. The request form is available on the communications and marketing webpage or linked directly below.
For more information, email the office.
Submit updates and news
The Office of Communications and Marketing is always looking for good content that can be featured in the weekly staff newsletter (T-Notes), the student newsletter (Thiel Happenings), the website Newsroom or on social media.
Please send any information about you, your students, your department or your colleagues to Dominick DiRienzo M.A.’22.
The updates can include information about anything your department is featuring this year, any faculty accomplishments or student activity.
These updates do not have to meet a “newsworthiness” standard and do not have to be things that you are specifically doing or hosting.
If you have any questions, contact DiRienzo at ext. 2188.
Publishing Schedule
T-Notes is published Wednesdays during the academic year. Send your event or news to tnotes@thiel.edu by noon Aug. 31, 2026 to be published in that week’s edition. The next edition will be published Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2026.
