On Wednesday, the Tomcat Emergency Alert System was tested. The Thiel Department of Public Safety asks anyone who registered with the Tomcat Alert System to contact the office if you did not receive the alert.

Students hosted a yoga session with therapy cats in David Johnson Memorial Chapel on Monday, blending wellness and stress relief. The event was led by Adrianna Green ’27, Cody Maxwell ’26, and Emily Ripple ’26, with faculty advisor Kristel Gallagher, Ph.D., associate professor of psychology.

The Greenville Chamber of Commerce will host its annual dinner on Thursday, Nov. 13, in the Lutheran Heritage Room of the Howard Miller Student Center. The event is open to the community. Tickets are $40 per person and include hors d’oeuvres, dinner and two complimentary drinks (cash bar available).

Free White Out T-shirts will be handed out to students and staff during Common Hour at 11:30 a.m. Thursday leading up to the game. In addition, the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee will be hosting a basket raffle during the game.

Ruth Leo, a retired Slippery Rock University faculty member and Simmons College graduate, visited nursing students to share reflections from her nursing career. She emphasized the importance of developing meaningful connections with patients, reminding students that every patient has a story and that compassionate care begins with understanding the person behind the patient. Leo will return to campus as an invited speaker for our senior graduation dinner and pinning ceremony in December.

The Thiel College Office of Admission has recognized sophomore education major Madison Rodgers ’28 as its Thiel Team Member of the Month for September.
Rodgers is an early childhood/special education major from Lancaster, Pa., with a minor in Spanish language and culture. She is a member of the women’s soccer team, Rotary Club, Alpha Xi, Active Minds, Choir and is a Writing Lab consultant. Also a member of the Dietrich Honors Institute, Rodgers serves on the Institute’s leadership board.

The Physician Assistant program gathered students for a pink out photo in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month on Tuesday. Students in the nursing and speech-language pathology programs also donned pink on Tuesday.

Employees should update the logos used on institutional materials, including email signatures, letterhead, PowerPoint slides, etc.
Thiel College has used the shield and wordmark combination as the official institutional logo for more than a year. They are the only approved logo for academic co-curricular and institutional use. Additional athletic logo packages are also available.
Email signatures, brand resources, and a job request form are all available online. A Dropbox folder has been set up with instructions and the materials necessary to create new email signatures. Employees can find other Thiel College-branded resources including letterhead, logos and PowerPoint slides in the same folder.
Thiel College community members who need help with communications and marketing initiatives and collateral can now request those services with a job form. The request form is available on the communications and marketing webpage or linked directly below.
