Beat the Water Challenge, win a water bottle

The Thiel College Wellness Committee is sponsoring its annual February water challenge. The goal is to drink eight 8-ounce glasses of water during each day of February and mark their water consumption amount. At the end of the month, turn a sheet into the Student Life Office and qualifying participants will receive a new water bottle.

Office of Communications and Marketing Essentials

Email signatures, brand resources, job request form are all available online. A Dropbox folder has been set up with instructions and the materials necessary to create new email signatures. Employees can find other Thiel College-branded resources including letterhead, logos and PowerPoint slides in the same folder.

Thiel College community members who need help with communications and marketing initiatives and collateral can now request those services with a job form. The request form is available on the communications and marketing webpage or linked directly below.

Senior students are invited to the annual 100-day dinner that kicks off the countdown to graduation for the Class of 2019.

Sixth Annual High School Shakespeare Festival
Thursday, Jan. 31 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
William A. Robinson Theater

A day-long celebration of the Bard's work serves as a forum for high school students to share their work with peers from across the region. The morning will be filled with performances, and the afternoon will consist of performance-based workshops. High schools will present their work between 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. at the William A. Robinson Theater. This morning performance block is free and open to the public.

Audience members may come and go between 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m., but doors to the stage will only be opened during breaks between individual high school performances. Thiel College faculty and staff will serve as respondents for the high school productions and will distribute awards at the festival's conclusion.

Join the Thiel College community as we discuss the upcoming Middle States Self-Study process. The process and timeline, the standards review process, and ways for members of our community to participate are on the agenda. The Middle States Commission on Higher Education is a voluntary, non-governmental, membership association that defines, maintains, and promotes educational excellence across institutions with diverse missions, student populations, and resources. It examines each institution as a whole, rather than specific programs within institutions.

National Wear Red Day
Friday, Feb. 1
Thiel College Campus 

The Wellness Committee is asking employees to wear red on Friday, Feb. 1 to show their support for the American Heart Association and to raise awareness about cardiovascular disease. The Wellness Committee will then host the second annual employee soup/ chili cook-off on Feb. 19.  All proceeds from the cook-off will benefit the American Heart Association.

A farewell party for Associate Dean of the Career Development Center Martin Black will be held Tuesday, Feb. 5 in the Sawhill-Georgian Room of the Howard Miller Student Center.

Greenville Kiwanis selling discount dining cards

Mario Marini ’91 is selling the 2019 Kiwanis Club of Greenville Dining Card. The card costs $25. The card is worth $700 in discounts and is accepted at 45 restaurants in the region.

All proceeds will go to Ashlea Bottles and her family to help with expenses, as she goes through treatment for breast cancer. Cost is $10.
