Thiel College, a leading liberal arts college in northwest Pennsylvania, announced that it is accepting additional applications for The Marion G. Resch Science Scholarship program. Students can apply for one of five remaining scholarships that can be used as early as this fall.

The new Cobblestone Hotel & Suites, 81 Hadley Road, will celebrate its grand opening with a ribbon cutting at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 11. President Susan Traverso, Ph.D., and several members of the Board of Trustees will be on hand during the celebration to welcome the new business to the community.
Drawings, picnic food and refreshments, and room tours are all a part of the event that runs from noon to 6 p.m. and is free and open to the public.
Thiel College is helping to sponsor the Western Pennsylvania Conservancy’s two parks in Greenville. Both are along Route 18 in the borough.
Veteran’s Park is along Route 18 across from the Sheetz convenience store and Rodney K. Wentling Memorial Park is on the bank of the Little Shenango River on the southern end of the borough.
A ribbon cutting and celebration of the signage and sponsorship will be held in August.
Tomcat Tributes are designed to recognize the teamwork Thiel College employees exhibit each day. Employees can nominate co-workers for recognition in four categories (Random Act of Kindness, Going the Extra Mile, Had a Great Idea, Just Because).

Campus Store hours
The Campus Store in the Howard Miller Student Center is open 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays and all orientation days. The store is closed Mondays and Fridays.

Sigma Kappa Walk to End Alzheimer’s

The sisters of Sigma Kappa will attend the Sharon, Pa. Walk to End Alzheimer’s on Sept. 9. The Alzheimer’s Foundation is one of Sigma Kappa’s philanthropies. Their goal this year is to raise $2,250.
A celebrity bartending night will also be held at The Clark House from 5-8 p.m. July 27 with all proceeds going to the Sharon, Pa. fundraising goal of $50,500.

T-Notes Publishing Schedule
The next issue of T-Notes will be out Wednesday, July 19. T-Notes has begun its summer publishing schedule. During the summer, it will be released twice each month. The weekly schedule will resume in August.
