Third summer of Thiel College institute building on success of previous research

Thiel College, a leading liberal arts college in northwest Pennsylvania, has begun the third summer of the Greenville Neuromodulation Center Faculty/Student Research Institute with projects from several faculty and student research teams studying such varied topics as the impact of threat on supporters of female politicians, adolescent nicotine exposure and amphibian skin bacteria.

Cycling club covering 500 miles to promote elder health, leadership development

The Thiel College Cycling club is establishing a strong presence in the community this summer by encouraging service and leadership development.

Amanda Zimmerman ’17 came to Thiel College from a high school with a graduating class of more than 600 students. The business communication and English double major said the small campus gave her opportunities to develop her leadership qualities.

Admissions welcoming high school students to summer BBQ picnics

After the success of last year’s events, the Office of Admission at Thiel is using the summer months to offer students three events to learn about campus resources and academic departments, meet with faculty and coaches, tour the campus, and enjoy food and fun with potential classmates.

Sigma Kappa Walk to End Alzheimer’s
September 9
Sharon, Pa.

The sisters of Sigma Kappa will attend the Sharon, Pa. Walk to End Alzheimer’s on Sept. 9. The Alzheimer’s Foundation is one of Sigma Kappa’s philanthropies. Their goal this year is to raise $2,250.

A celebrity bartending night will also be held at The Clark House from 5-8 p.m. July 27 with all proceeds going to the Sharon, Pa. fundraising goal of $50,500.

T-Notes Publishing Schedule

The next issue of T-Notes will be out Wednesday, June 21. T-Notes has begun its summer publishing schedule. During the summer, it will be released twice each month. The weekly schedule will resume in August.
