College announces Dean’s List honorees for fall 2016

Thiel College announced this month that 325 students were named to the Dean’s List for the fall 2016 semester. A full-time student must attain a grade point average (GPA) of 3.4 on a 4.0 scale to be eligible for the Dean’s List at the College.

Senior seminar students attend networking reception

Senior seminar students of Professor David Miller ’61 participated in the student-alumni networking reception on Friday, Feb. 3 as part of the Founders’ Day events.

“Lewis Carbone ’71 is the founder, president and chief experience officer of Experience Engineering, Inc. He is the author of “Clued In: How to Keep Customers Coming Back Again and Again. He is a creator of the method for experience value management. Carbone lectures are taught in at Harvard Business School, Columbia and Boston University. He is a member of the Thiel College Board of Trustees. Carbone has worked with such companies as Pizza Hut, KFC, H&R Block, General Motors, IBM, Taco Bell, Time Warner Cable and the Royal Bank of Canada.” — Evialina Biarzhanina ’17

“I thought that the networking event was extremely helpful. I have found that because I don’t know exactly what I want to do with my career, it is extremely beneficial for me to learn about others’ careers. “I really enjoyed attending the Founders’ Day weekend events. In my position as student government president, I attended the board retreat as well as the Board of Trustee’s meeting. It was a great experience to see the great leaders of Thiel in action, helping shape the future of Thiel College. “The last conversation I had was with President Susan Traverso. When talking to her, she talked about the strategic plan that the board just passed. It was very intriguing to hear about the changes that are in store for the incoming class. It was nice to have the conversation and see how excited she is for the changes that are coming to Thiel. “This was a very nice evening meeting with alumni. It was great to connect with them and hear their stories. I met with five different alumni. Donnorummo wins Super Bowl package from Campus Store

Anthony Donnorummo ’19, of Youngstown, Ohio, was the winner of Thiel Campus Store’s Super Bowl giveaway. The prize was an eCampus backpack full of game time snacks.
