“I thought that the networking event was extremely helpful. I have found that because I don’t know exactly what I want to do with my career, it is extremely beneficial for me to learn about others’ careers. There are so many industries that I never would have known about without talking to people and learning what they have done.” — Sara Matczak ’17
“We talked to David A. Johnston about Thiel, Professor Miller’s senior seminar class and career path options. It was another big group so he talked to us in a roundtable type environment. Will Malady ’17 stole the show, however, when he mentioned his 2 handicap.”— E.J. King ’17
“The networking event put on by Thiel Friday, Feb. 3, was a great event with highly connected individuals. Members of the Board of Trustees, the Thiel Board of Associates, the Thiel Alumni Association Board of Directors and Thiel students all gathered in the Sawhill-Georgian Room for a night of light snacks and conversation.”— Julia Fink ’17
“I really enjoyed attending the Founders’ Day weekend events. In my position as student government president, I attended the board retreat as well as the Board of Trustee’s meeting. It was a great experience to see the great leaders of Thiel in action, helping shape the future of Thiel College. I focused at this event on getting to know some of the board members that I did not know as well. The first person I spoke with and provided my business card was David Johnston ’71, who will be the speaker at the next senior seminar we are having.”— Daniel Wiegmann ’17
“The last conversation I had was with President Susan Traverso. When talking to her, she talked about the strategic plan that the board just passed. It was very intriguing to hear about the changes that are in store for the incoming class. It was nice to have the conversation and see how excited she is for the changes that are coming to Thiel. I am excited to see what happens to Thiel during her time as president.”— Tiffany Rohm ’17
“This was a very nice evening meeting with alumni. It was great to connect with them and hear their stories. I met with five different alumni. I was able to connect with all of them and it was a good time. There were appetizers and beverages as well. It was nice to hear all the different alumni’s stories and how they got to where they are today.”— Zeb Throne ’17
Anthony Donnorummo ’19, of Youngstown, Ohio, was the winner of Thiel Campus Store’s Super Bowl giveaway. The prize was an eCampus backpack full of game time snacks.
