Tomcat Tributes

Congratulations to the following Tomcat Tribute recipients. Employees can nominate co-workers for recognition in four categories (Random Act of Kindness, Going the Extra Mile, Had a Great Idea, Just Because). To nominate a fellow employee go to the Campus Resource link on the Thiel Hub.

Just Because

Nominee: Rob Clune
Nominator: Kelly Barzak
Comment: Coach Clune is a great coach, but also a great prankster. He is always planning his next practical joke and people can't help but to laugh when they are around him.

Going the Extra Mile

Nominee: Bob Schaller
Nominator: Kurt Ashley
Comment: Bob was a huge help in quickly completing our installation of wireless in the fraternities and theme houses. Also, it seems like he is always here working on something. His work ethic and can-do attitude are greatly appreciated.

Nominee: Kyle McGranahan
Nominator: Kim Groover
Comment: Kyle worked until 11 at night (a 15-hour day) to restore heat to the gymnasium. The boiler was down due to a soot build-up in the piping. He personally brushed/cleaned out the pipes to clean out the blockage. He was covered from head to toe in black soot.

Nominee: Ben Scobbie
Nominator: Mike Schultz
Comment: Ben always goes above and beyond the call while working on campus. He went home from work (recently) covered with soot from the gym boiler. His positive attitude and extra effort show his dedication to see Thiel shine.

Nomination comments may be condensed for space considerations to appear in campus publications.
