Thiel’s Blue-Gold Club to hold annual spring golf outing on May 23

GREENVILLE, Pa.—The Thiel College Blue-Gold Club will hold its annual golf scramble on Friday, May 23, 2014 at the Greens of Greenville. The event, which drew 132 participants last year, annually raises funds to support the College's 24 varsity athletics programs.

The overall winners of last year's 32-team tournament were Nick Reiser, Jeff Mullen, Chris Owens, and Dave Bracco. The mixed team made up of male/female golfers to win the outing was John Viglio, Linda Moreland, Matt Gentile, and Todd Hedderick while the female winners of the outing were Amy Schafer, Barbara Blue, Amy Becher, and Melissa Erdice.

The winner of the annual Hawaii raffle was Mark Malvin from Pittsburgh, Pa., who bought the winning ticket from baseball student assistant, Bill Bendgen's mother.
