Thiel physician assistant students hosting blood drive and health fair at the College

GREENVILLE, Pa.—Thiel College’s physician assistant studies program is hosting a free health fair and blood drive from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday on campus that will feature several local and regional health care representatives.

The event is in the Howard Miller Student Center and is free and open to the public. The vendors will be stationed along the main hallway in the Howard Miller Student Center and the local blood drive will be happening at the same time in the Lutheran Heritage Room of the Howard Miller Student Center. Blood collected at this event remains in the community and will be used by local hospitals.

Representatives from Thiel College Speech-Language Services, Kytchak Chiropractic Center, Walberg Family Pharmacies, Momentum Therapeutics, Adagio Health, Vitalant Blood Donation, Primary Health Network and Community Counseling Center are among the local vendors scheduled to participate.

Among the events will be free blood pressure screenings, free glucose readings, free speech screening and free flu shots.

“The reason we organized this health fair is to bring the Greenville community together,” said physician assistant studies student William Sarniguet M.S.’23. “Also, as a new program, we wanted to integrate ourselves more to the Thiel community and fulfill our commitment of serving others.”
