GREENVILLE, Pa.—Thiel College Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology students were awarded their diplomas during the program’s third Commencement Exercises recently.
Seventeen students were awarded their degrees during the July 27 event, and two students were recognized for their exceptional work during the program. Cheyanna M. Ross ’15 M.S.’23 was awarded the Dr. Nancy Antonino Outstanding Clinician award. Malena Nicole Sparidaens M.S.’23 was awarded the Dr. Sonya Wilt Outstanding Speech-Language Pathology Graduate Student award.

The first two cohorts of speech-language pathology students had 92 percent and 100 percent job placement, respectively. Pending certifications and selection of positions, the 2023 cohort is expected to have 100 percent placement soon. The 14-month Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology Program at Thiel is designed to provide both the scientific and cultural foundations of human communication, disorders and differences. It is also designed to apply practice through experiential learning during classes and clinical practicum experiences each semester.
The program officially opened in May 2020 as the College’s first graduate degree option.
