GREENVILLE, Pa.—Thiel College education major and chapter president of Sigma Kappa sorority Annika Schul ’19 has been awarded $10,000 from the Elizabeth Hunt Curfman Scholarship for the 2018-2019 academic year.
Schul, of State College, Pa., is an early childhood education and special education major at Thiel College, a leading liberal arts college in northwest Pennsylvania. She is a 2015 graduate of Keystone National High School and is the daughter of Scott and Linda Schul, of State College, Pa.
”Annika is the embodiment of what it is to be a member of Sigma Kappa. She is loyal, caring, hardworking and dedicated. These traits are what will set her up for success after college,” said Sigma Kappa Sorority Advisory Board Supervisor Sheena (Fuga) Hendricks ’05. “Annika is constantly striving to better herself and others around her. She is a strong leader that sets goals and has the right attitude to obtain anything she wants. It is apparent that she will go far, and I am exceedingly proud of her work in and out of Sigma Kappa.”
Elizabeth Hunt Curfman Scholarship
The endowment’s purpose is to provide scholarships for initiated senior or graduate members of Sigma Kappa in good standing. To be eligible, students must have a minimum GPA of 3.00 on a 4.00 scale, be an education major, exhibit financial need and show outstanding leadership.
