Thiel College President among employees recognized for service milestones

GREENVILLE, Pa.—Thiel College President Troy D. VanAken, Ph.D., was among the 25 employees recognized for reaching a significant employment milestone with the College on Thursday, April 23.

The annual ceremony recognizes employees who have completed anniversaries in five-year increments starting with the fifth year.

Professor Andrew Grover, M.S.; Financial Aid Specialist Patricia Leskovac and Documents Librarian Deborah Ross, M.L.S.; represented this year’s longest-employed group. Each celebrated 30-year employment anniversaries in 2014.

Hired in 1989, Lecturer Brenda DelMaramo, M.A., and Professor Mark DelMaramo, Ph.D.; housekeeper Dabbie Moffett, Adjunct Professor Susan Richards, M.A.; and Administrative Assistant Barbara Samson marked their silver anniversary.

“It’s an honor to recognize the dedication and longstanding service of our staff members,” President VanAken said. “This group represents a variety of skillsets and talents that come together each day to form one vibrant and cohesive college community.”

The 25 employees represent 410 years of combined experience at Thiel College.
