GREENVILLE, Pa.—Hundreds of students and more than 100 representatives from colleges, universities, trade schools, businesses, banks, career centers, and military branches are set to attend the Mercer County Guidance Counselors Association College Fair at Thiel College in the Rissell-Beeghly Gymnasia from 9–11 a.m. on Thursday, October 6.
All Mercer County High Schools are invited to bring their junior and senior students to the fair, which is also free and open to the public. Representatives will distribute materials and talk with students and other interested members of the community about colleges and career choices.
The event is also an opportunity to for attendees to see the newly-renovated entrance, court and bleachers in Rissell-Beeghly Gym. A three-phase renovation of the Rissell-Beeghly complex began this summer, upgrading the competitive court, installing new flooring, bleachers, modern lighting as well as an advanced heating and cooling system throughout the building. Accessibility for people with disabilities was improved in the gym as part of the Rissell-Beeghly improvements as is a new video scoreboard.
