Thiel College graduate Keeling recently named Coordinator of Peer-Led Learning Programs

GREENVILLE, Pa.—Thiel College recently named Hannah Keeling ’08 the Coordinator of Peer-Led Learning Programs within the Thiel Learning Commons.

In her new role, Keeling will oversee all peer-led learning groups on campus, including one-on-one and group tutoring, supplemental instruction, peer-assisted learning, the writing lab, and test reviews. She will also serve as an academic coach and contributed to Thiel’s summer Excel program.

“In my new position, I hope to increase awareness and usage of our incredible learning resources amongst Thiel students of all abilities and foster an atmosphere of deep, active, and independent learning across campus,” said Keeling.

Keeling graduated from Thiel College in 2008 with a degree in English and a secondary education teaching certificate. Following graduation, she taught eighth-grade English/language arts and communications for five years at Saegertown Junior/Senior High School in Saegertown, Pa. During this time, she also earned her master’s degree in secondary English education from Edinboro University. After her first son was born in 2013, she resigned from her teaching position for a period of time before returning to work in 2019 at Thiel College as the office coordinator in the Education Department.

Keeling resides with her husband, a 2007 Thiel grad, and their two boys, ages 6 and 9, just outside of Greenville, Pa. She and her husband are both life-long educators and active members in their church. Keeling also enjoys art, reading, gardening, cooking, and hiking.
