Thiel College celebrates ‘Discover the Difference’ theme for Homecoming

GREENVILLE, Pa.—Thiel College invites alumni, students, staff and friends of the college to participate in the traditions and pageantry of Homecoming. The 2014 celebration, "Discover the Difference," is from Oct. 3-5.

The annual Alumni Awards Ceremony and Dinner (7 p.m.), Pep Rally and Homecoming Court Announcement (9 p.m.) and 2nd Annual Alumni Tent Party (10 p.m.) get the weekend started Friday. Saturday’s schedule includes family-friendly activities on campus, a dedication ceremony for the new James Pedas Communication Center (11 a.m.), the parade (1:15 p.m.) and football game (3 p.m.).

The parade begins at Riverside Park and marches through downtown Greenville before ending on campus. Due to the festivities planned during halftime of the game the Thiel Tomcat Marching Pride will perform at 2:30 p.m. prior to the football game. Alumni Dr. Barry ’70 and Carol Stamm ’71 are the game day honorees.

Thiel hosts St. Vincent at Alumni Stadium at 3 p.m. Milestone reunion years -- 1964 and 1959 – will be celebrated this year.
