GREENVILLE, Pa.—Seven members of the Thiel College Class of 2015 earned valedictorian and salutatorian honors at the 141st Commencement, which was held on May 3 in the College’s William A. Passavant Memorial Center.
Six students with perfect 4.0 grade point averages—Alexis Lynne Bump, of Meadville, Pa.; Kayla Nicole Hibbard, of Greenville, Pa.; Danielle Renee Massengill, of North Bend, Wash.; Steven Morgan, of Raritan, N.J.; Shayla Elizabeth Percy, of Lyndora, Pa. and Sara Dan’el Toombs, of Oil City, Pa.—earned valedictorian honors and one student—Erika Jean Leonhard, of Kinsman, Ohio—was named salutatorian. The seven students all graduated summa cum laude.
Students who received the honor of summa cum laude graduated with a GPA of 3.8 - 4.0; students who received the honor of magna cum laude graduated with a GPA of 3.60-3.79; and students who received the honor of cum laude graduated with a GPA of 3.4-3.59. The Dean’s Key is awarded to students who made the Dean's List during all eight semesters at Thiel College.
