GREENVILLE, Pa.—Thiel College men’s volleyball standout Kaleb Proudfoot ’26 was named to the American Volleyball Coaches Association All-America team on April 20, becoming the first player in the program’s 16-year history to receive the distinction.
Proudfoot is a senior history major seeking a secondary education certification. The 2022 Butler High School graduate was an honorable mention selection.
“Kaleb has been a model student athlete all year, leading his teammates through his voice and his actions,” men’s volleyball coach Henry Gorton said. “Eager to learn, and relentless with effort, his statistics speak for themselves but more impressive than his numbers has been the way he carries himself on and off the court.”
Proudfoot, of Butler, Pa., and Ezra Oesterling ’28, of Shelocta, Pa., became the first Tomcats ever named to the AVCA All-Region II team last week.
Proudfoot was named the Presidents’ Athletic Conference Player of the Year in addition to making the All-PAC First Team for the second-straight season.
