GREENVILLE, Pa.—Pennsylvania Congressman Mike Kelly toured two of Thiel College's newest facilities Tuesday, May 29.
Kelly got extended looks at Thiel College’s new $4.5 million, 7,850-square-foot Haer Family Science and Arts Connector and the College’s only Leadership in Environmental and Energy Design-certified building, the James Pedas Communication Center. The Pedas Center is silver-certified for energy and water conservation techniques that were part of the building’s original design.
Kelly met with a variety of Thiel College staff members as well as student Grant Milne ’19, who is participating in the GNC Student-Faculty Research Institute this summer.
The Haer Family Science and Arts Connector was dedicated at Homecoming in September 2017. The James Pedas Communication Center was dedicated during Homecoming 2014 and was LEED certified in Februrary 2015. Kelly toured the state-of-the-art television and radio studios and computer lab in the Pedas Center.
