PAC champion Tomcats returning to to NCAA men’s volleyball tournament

GREENVILLE, Pa.—Two-time Presidents’ Athletic Conference champion Thiel is making its second straight trip to the NCAA Division III men's volleyball tournament, becoming the first program in school history with consecutive national playoff appearances, and will face Dominican University (Ill.) at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Carthage University in Kenosha, Wis. in the play-in round.

The Tomcats claimed the PAC title with a 3-1 win over Chatham University on Saturday, setting a new program single-season wins record with 23. The Cats also set a program record with three victories over nationally-ranked opponents and entered the AVCA Coaches' Poll at No. 20 on Feb. 3 for their first national ranking since 2014. Thiel climbed as high as No. 17 the following week.
