GREENVILLE, Pa.—Thiel College announces Megan Kidder, of Worthington, Pa., and Kourtney Polvinale, of Brownsville, Pa., were recognized as students of the month for October 2015.
Kidder is a senior actuarial studies and mathematics major who will graduate in December 2015. She has earned Dean’s List recognition six semesters and is a member of Alpha Chi honor society, Kappa Mu Epsilon honor society in mathematics, and Chi Alpha Sigma national college athlete honor society. Additionally, she serves as President for the campus chapter of Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA), as Vice President for Thiel Christian Fellowship (TCF), and is a member of the cross country and track teams. During her time at Thiel, Kidder has served in the community as a youth group leader for First Baptist Church. She is currently pursuing jobs as an actuarial analyst in Pittsburgh.
Kidder, a 2012 graduate of Kittanning Senior High School, is the daughter of John and Gidget Kidder, of Worthington, Pa.
Polvinale is a senior psychology and religion major with a minor in English. She graduates in May 2016. She has earned Dean’s List recognition six semesters and is a member of Alpha Chi honor society, Sigma Tau Delta International English honor society, and Psi Chi national honor society in psychology. She is also a member of Sigma Kappa Sorority and Theta Alpha Kappa fraternity for women. Following graduation, she plans to pursue a master of arts in transpersonal counseling therapy or movement-based therapy.
Polvinale, a 2012 graduate of Brownsville Area High School, is the daughter of Dave and Candace Polvinale, of Brownsville.
