The Hirtzel Memorial Foundation is a charitable trust and private foundation that supports healthcare services and encourages scientific and medical research conducted at colleges, universities, hospitals and similar facilities in Western Pennsylvania, Western New York, and Northern Ohio. Thiel’s nursing program has been the beneficiary of the Hirzel Foundation.
