Thiel College is searching for an exceptionally skilled and motivated individual to re-envision and implement an innovative, highly integrative, and technology enhanced Career Development Center.
The director will support the institution’s mission of empowering individuals to reach their full potential by creating a diverse and inclusive learning environment that ensures educational excellence, stimulates global awareness, and promotes ethical leadership. The position reports to the Associate Academic Dean for Student Success.
Credentials/ Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in student affairs, higher education administration, college student development, counseling, human resources or related field strongly preferred. Two to five years of experience in career counseling/development, student development, higher education, counseling, recruiting or human resources.
A portfolio that includes career counseling and vocational discernment; personal and professional development; budget management; demonstrated ability to build cooperative partnerships; ability to work with persons from culturally diverse background and promote inclusive practices in all aspects of one’s work; and a thorough understanding of liberal arts education and of the implications of liberal learning for today’s career paths.
