Thiel College seeks a vibrant faculty member to serve in a joint position in Anatomy and Physiology as a member of the principal faculty in the Master of Science in Physician Assistant Department.
This position will begin in Spring Semester 2021 . As a tenure-track position the expectations include, teaching Anatomy and Physiology courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, serving as an academic advisor, supporting the recruitment efforts of the PA programs and the College as whole, and service expectations to the program, the College, and the profession.
The Master of Science in Physical Assistant program is scheduled to begin in the summer of 2021. Envisioned with multiple pathways, most notably with a 5-year accelerated and blended Baccalaureate/ Master’s degree for Thiel students, as well as graduates from other institutions.
A dedicated passion for helping students reach their full potential in a supportive and inclusive diverse environment is essential to this position. Responsibilities include teaching, advising, student supervision, and professional development. While Thiel College gives highest priority to teaching effectiveness, the faculty will be expected to remain current in the field through professional development opportunities such as attendance at related conferences, research, or other scholarly activities. A comprehensive employee benefit package including research support and a sabbatical program is provided.
This position will report to the PA Program Director and the Chair of the Department. The PA program runs year round with summer teaching expected. Salary and rank for the position is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
