Thiel College has announced Sheriff Gary Hartman has been named as coach of the Thiel College Shooting Club, which is now in its second year.
Two seniors, Kristen Moreland and Evan Krizon, were chosen as the Students of the Month at Thiel College for March 2012.
The curtain rises on the Thiel Players’ spring musical production, “Little Shop of Horrors” March 29, 30 and 31 in the William A. Robinson Theater at Thiel College.
Thiel College presents the American Brass Quintet in concert at the David Johnson Memorial Chapel on Thursday, March 22, at 7:30 p.m. This event is free and open to the public.
Dr. M. Roy Strausbaugh was named a trustee emeritus to the Thiel College Board of Trustees after the board’s February meeting.
Just in time for President’s Day, the Langenheim Memorial Library at Thiel College is displaying a number of signed, presidential photographs from the college’s archives. The display is located in the library and is free and open to the public.
Thiel College announced today that the $25 million bequest to the college by late businessman, scholar and philanthropist William S. Dietrich II will first be used to fund the Kenneth and Marianna Brown Dietrich Honors Program. Dietrich’s gift was the largest made to Thiel College in its 145-year history. It became operational upon his passing on Oct. 6, 2011 and was announced to the public on Nov. 3, 2011.
On Sunday, Feb. 19 at 2 p.m., five students will be inducted into the Alpha Iota Kappa chapter of Sigma Tau Delta, the international English honorary society, at Thiel College during a special ceremony in the Sawhill-Georgian Room of the Howard Miller Student Center. Friends and family of the inductees are invited to attend the ceremony.
