Accreditation Status

The ARC-PA has granted Accreditation-Provisional status to the Thiel College Physician Assistant Program sponsored by Thiel College.

Accreditation-Provisional is an accreditation status granted when the plans and resource allocation, if fully implemented as planned, of a proposed program that has not yet enrolled students appear to demonstrate the program’s ability to meet the ARC-PA Standards or when a program holding Accreditation[1]Provisional status appears to demonstrate continued progress in complying with the Standards as it prepares for the graduation of the first class (cohort) of students.

Accreditation-Provisional does not ensure any subsequent accreditation status. It is limited to no more than five years from matriculation of the first class. The program’s accreditation history can be viewed on the ARC-PA website at

We understand that not all students are the same, that's why Thiel College offers options for students to choose the best way to pursue a career in phyisican assistant! Students can choose our accelerated bachelor's to master's program that allows students to earn two degrees (B.A./M.S.) in five years, or earn a pre-health professions bachelor's degree in four years that allows you to go straight to work or enroll in another institution's health professions graduate program.

Clubs and Organizations

It's easy to get involved on campus! Joining a student club or organization is an excellent way to meet others and gain leadership experience. Students will have access to Thiel's Health Professions Institute, which applies classroom knowledge to human health and well-being, and guided tours of the unique contributions of literature, philosophy, and the fine arts to the art and science of healing. Students will also be able to attend health professions seminars to provide guidance and resources to assist in your preparation for medical career.
