Nanci Hosick, Ed.D.
Adjunct Professor of Education
Dr. Nanci Hosick received her Ed.D. in Education Leadership from the University of Pittsburgh and earned both her M.Ed. and B.A. from Westminster College. She is currently the Director of Special Services for Hermitage School District.
Hosick started her career in education as a high school English teacher. She became a National Board Certified Teacher during her teaching tenure before moving into Administrative roles. Since then, she has held the positions of Assistant Principal and Co-Principal before serving in her current position.
Hosick gives back to her educational community by serving on several boards at Westminster College. She is Chair of the Nominations Committee within the Westminster College Alumni Association; she serves on the Towering Titan Executive Board; and she volunteers within the Special Education Department each semester during the students' finals projects. In addition, she is a board member for the Children's Center of Mercer County.
Hosick enjoys engaging with Thiel education majors in her adjunct position. She firmly believes that the students' field experiences are key to their understanding of the expectations of today's teachers; and enjoys being a part of these experiences.
