Julie Harris, M.Ed.
Adjunct Professor of Education
Professor Julie Harris received her B.A. from Otterbein College, Westerville, Ohio; M.Ed. at Wright State University at Dayton, Ohio; and Special Education Certification from Slippery Rock University. She is a retired Public School Teacher of 35.5 years and has instructed 3rd, 4th,5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grades. For 25 years she was the facilitator of the Jamestown Elementary Environmental Club and was honored to be awarded the Thiel College Leadership in Environmental Awareness Award. She assisted Professor Reames as an adjunct professor in a Science Methods course at Westminster College for 3 years. She has instructed the ECE Science Methods course at Thiel College for the past 4 years. Her philosophy is “Science is a Verb!” Some of her interests are downhill skiing, fly fishing, hiking, rafting, archery, perennial flower beds and pickle ball. Working with an excellent Thiel College staff and interacting with dedicated Thiel College education majors is an exciting experience and a real honor!
