IT Welcomes New Employee
Joe Matecka '12 has been promoted to full-time support center technician in the Information Technology Department. Throughout his four years as a student at Thiel, he developed a love of learning and a passion for "taking things apart." This led to student employment in Thiel’s IT Department, which in turn led to a year-long internship. When the position opened, he was excited about the opportunity, applied and was promoted just before the fall semester started.
"We are very excited to have Joe join our team," says Kurt Ashley, Chief Information Officer. "His track record as a student worker and intern have shown just how dedicated and positive he will be in this new role."
Matecka’s office is located on the first floor of the Academic Center, down the hall from the Support Center. His responsibilities include supporting the Lenovo Notebook Initiative (repairs, ordering) and technical assistance with phones and other devices on campus.
