Thiel College Professor Angelo Giannini's Strategic Management class presented business and marketing plans to St. Paul's last semester.

Strategic Management class presents plan to St. Paul's

Near the end of the fall semester Professor Angelo Giannini’s Strategic Management class made their presentation and plan submissions to St. Paul’s. There were two plans developed: one plan was the new transitional care program, its scope and marketing strategy, and the other plan was a cost analysis of the transitional care and impairment programs.

The overall project manager, responsible for keeping both plans on track to completion, was Yosief Woldegebriel.  There are three team leaders who directed the individual plans reporting to Woldegebriel they were Nick Phillips the team leader of the cost analysis plan, Morgan Steiner the team leader of the plan’s scope, and Thomas Thorpe the team leader of marketing strategy.

The cost analysis team was comprised of Rory Duncan, Chris Haray, Hannah Ketzko, Lauren Downs, Holt Hoffmeier, Patrick Duncan, and Corey Evans.  The transitional care team that developed the scope of the plan contained Tyree Abrams, Joe Devey, Jungwon Kang, Tae Yeon Park, Ashley Wolanin, and Zack Macurak.  The transitional care marketing team was made up of Rich Cannon, Jaehee Cho, Lynsay Girts, Steve Morgan, Robert Riley, Silas Madden and Yuri Shin.  Each member of these teams were involved in the data collection, the development of the marketing survery, website outline, input to spreadsheets, the projection of future results, and the drafts and final plans for St. Paul.

The students worked with Chris Wright, Director of Finance at St. Pauls, Rita Clemente, Director of Colony Living and Community Outreach at St. Pauls, and Tammy Lininger, Director of Nursing at St. Pauls; they were the contacts who provided information, organizational insight and direction to the students to assist them in developing the strategic plan.

The strategic management class was constructed by Professor Giannini with the underlying reason of preparing juniors and seniors, for dynamic business environments with the challenge of meeting future business needs.  Prior strategic management classes have worked with local businesses to build their plans for the future.
