Intro to Entrepreneurship Class |
Vashawn Head and Marica Turan received the 2007 Haller Enterprise Awards from Thiel President Robert Olson and Professor David Miller. Vashawn has a men's apparel design business and Marica has a hand-crafted jewelry business. The PURPOSE of the Haller Enterprise Institute: The mission of the Haller Enterprise Institute is to encourage, promote and support entrepreneurship in Thiel College students. The purpose of the Haller Enterprise Award is to recognize those Thiel students who actually start their own business while at Thiel College. Recipients will be recognized semi-annually in January and September of each year.
1. Recipient must be a Thiel College student. 2. Recipient must be a participant in the Haller Enterprise Institute. 3. Recipient must have created a business which is in operation and generating revenue. 4. Award will normally take the form of a scholarship, unless circumstances determined by the College dictate a monetary award. 5. Recipient may be nominated for the award by the Executive Director or the Advisory Board of the Haller Enterprise Institute. 6. Awards in the range of $500 to $1000 will be at the discretion of the Advisory Board and will be considered in terms of: (a) whether the business creates employment (b) the business must show promise of future growth.
