Optional Placement Tests
Students have the opportunity to take a math placement test if they want to try to place into a higher math course than what they are assigned.
Select this option when you schedule your registration day.
Optional foreign language proficiency testing (French, German, Spanish, and Latin) will also be available to determine placement in a language or possible exemption from foreign language courses. The test is computer-driven and has no oral component. The questions test vocabulary, grammar and reading comprehension. To fulfill Thiel’s Foreign Language requirement, all students must take: two semesters of the same foreign language, one semester of a foreign language at the intermediate level or exemption via proficiency examination.
Select this option when you schedule your registration day.
