Dr. Robert OlsonWelcome to the Thiel College website!  If you're new to Thiel College, we hope that through these web pages you’ll gain a sense of our exciting campus community.

Take a look around. You will find several links that will help you learn more about Thiel.  Explore our pages designed for students, faculty, staff and alumni and get a feel for life at Thiel.

If you’re a prospective student, Thiel is a place where classes are smaller, personal attention is given in and out of the classroom and friendships are easily formed—all at a fraction of the cost of other private liberal arts institutions.

Our professors and administrators are easily accessible and involved in students’ development academically and personally; one of the reasons why Thiel graduates are so successful.

Thiel’s facilities and resources are ever-improving to meet our students' needs.  The Howard Miller Student Center is the hub of campus life with comfortable lounges, an inviting bookstore, engaging art galleries, and dining choices that include the Rotunda Bistro featuring Starbucks Coffee and a spacious dining hall with really great food.  One of the unique aspects of our living/learning community is our Center for Excellence in Greek Life.  We have a great multi-sports athletic complex and new ball fields.  Our fitness center features Cybex equipment.  Our living options include apartments, theme houses and traditional residence halls.  Caring about spiritual growth, the David Johnson Memorial Chapel is in constant use by our students.  The new William A. Robinson Theater has been completed and is home to the Thiel players as well as our Greenville Area Community Theater.

At Thiel we are committed to the integration of technology in the learning environment, as evidenced by our technology-enhanced smart classrooms and facilities, wireless computing throughout the campus, and notebook computers for all students.

I encourage you to explore our website and discover all that Thiel has to offer. If you would like to learn more about our admission process, I invite you to contact our admissions staff at admission@thiel.edu or arrange a campus visit by contacting the Office of Admissions at 1.800.24.THIEL.

Thank you for visiting our site – I look forward to your becoming a member of the Thiel family!

Sincerely,

Dr. Robert C. Olson '60, Ph.D
