The Biology Department of Thiel College invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor to teach Foundations of Biology, Human Anatomy, Human Physiology, Comparative Chordate Anatomy, Animal Physiology, and Exercise Physiology at the undergraduate level, beginning at the start of the 2014-2015 academic year.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate evidence of teaching effectiveness and support of undergraduate research projects. The successful candidate will teach 24 credit hours per academic year, will be expected to develop a new course in neurophysiology for both the biology and neuroscience curricula, will support the overall academic program of the Department of Biology including academic advising of students, and will be asked to contribute to the core curriculum of the College on a periodic basis. A Ph.D. is required; ABD candidates will be considered if the defense of the degree is imminent.
