Thiel College invites applicants to join our Computer Science program as a tenure-track Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science for Fall 2014. This is an entrepreneurial position in which fresh thinking on undergraduate teaching and learning in Computer Science will be welcomed and good ideas will find support. We are interested in curricular and pedagogical innovation that will attract students and add exceptional value to their college experience.
The successful candidate for this position will demonstrate personal dynamism, a passion for working directly with students on Computer Science projects, and knowledge of areas in Computer Science that are particularly relevant to undergraduate studies in Computer Science today.
Requirements or strong preferences for the position include the Ph.D. (in hand or imminent) in Computer Science or a closely related field (M.S./M.A. may be considered); commitment to liberal arts education; interdiscplinary interests and involvement; and excellent communication skills.
