Sanzari ’13 and Smith ’12 take on new roles for alumni relations

GREENVILLE, Pa.—Thiel College announces Kelly Sanzari, M.A. ’13 is the new director of alumni relations. The former director, Kraig R. Smith ’12, has taken a new role as the director of alumni development.

“We are very excited to welcome Kelly back to the College Advancement division. Kelly will be an amazing asset to the department, the College and our alumni,” interim Vice President for College Advancement Roberta Leonard said. “She will work closely with Kraig to provide quality, meaningful and diverse alumni engagement programs. We are looking forward to the new ideas and perspective Kelly will bring to this role.”

Sanzari joined Thiel College in July 2015 as a career counselor in the Career Development Center. Sanzari graduated from Thiel College in 2013 with a B.A. in business administration and has an M.A. from Slippery Rock in student affairs in higher education. She has held positions in the Office of Admission and College Advancement division at Thiel College, graduate admissions at Slippery Rock University, and campus life at Edinboro University.

Smith has been director of alumni relations since July 2014. Prior to that, he had worked for Thiel College in the Office of Student Life. He graduated from Thiel College in 2012 with a B.A. in forensic accounting, business administration and accounting. He is working on his M.B.A. from Clarion University.
