GREENVILLE, Pa.—Thiel College announced today that David J. Rhodes has been appointed as vice president for enrollment management, a position he will assume this month.
Rhodes, a 1982 Thiel College alumnus, will return to his alma mater to serve as chief enrollment officer responsible for the overall priorities and strategic direction of recruitment and admissions, financial aid, and retention to focus on identifying and attracting qualified students whose academic profiles, personal values and career aspirations align with the mission of the College. Most recently, he led admissions and financial aid at Westminster College, New Wilmington, Pa., and held similar posts throughout his career at Marietta College, Oglethorpe University and Heidelberg University.
In making the announcement, President Troy D. VanAken said, “We are fortunate to have attracted a qualified professional of David’s caliber to our ranks. As Thiel College continues to grow, he brings tremendous experience, leadership and a proven track record of success to the role that promises to position us well for the future.”
Rhodes earned a Master of Business Administration from Heidelberg College and holds a B.A. in Business Administration/Economics from Thiel College. His wife Bonnie, a 1981 Thiel College alumna, also will join the Thiel College community in January.
